Six sermons were preached during public worship at Zion-Memorial United Church, Carleton Place, Ontario. Fourteen participants from the congregation responded to a questionnaire.  The qualitative research method 'content analysis' was used to examine data reported by the hearers in sixty-one answers to the questionnaire.  These data tell how the hearers reacted to the sermons, and what they had to say about the message and the 'sender' of the message. The project describes a feminist understanding of sin, the sin of hiding or self-negation, and offers some suggestions about how wilderness adventure therapy might be incorporated into a more wholistic model of pastoral care and counseling. Discovery of the paschal mystery within the life experience of 63 families and individual members of Saint John's Roman Catholic Church in Jordan, Minnesota, leads the author to suggest a theology of incarnation to support parish community, worship, service, and teaching. The project endeavors to alter these attitudes by providing a theological framework for reclaiming inactive members, based on Jesus' parables in Luke 15, and by promoting and implementing the Family Reunion Reclamation Project. The project concentrates on measuring change in attitude of leaders who become involved in a reclamation ministry.  The methodology, materials, and results are reported and documented.
