First, the project director researched critical mission issues and skills for cross-cultural ministry in order to develop a tool to train youth for ministering cross-culturally overseas. Second, the director developed a teaching module for selected Southern baptist leaders in Texas to use to train youth for ministry in cross-cultural setting. Last, the director equipped selected Southern baptist leaders in Texas with the teaching module to train youth in ministering cross-culturally. These selected leaders along with the youth participants provided assessment and evaluation regarding the effectiveness and usefulness of the training module. In addition to the ministry goals, the project director pursued two professional goals. The first professional goal was to increase knowledge in cross-cultural ministry for the purpose of developing a tool for training youth. Session two explored foundational elements of the greeter ministry and the greeter lead team responsibilities. Session three included role playing, a detailed tour of the church property and facilities, and the use of church map identification. Then, the director enlisted a group of leaders to equip in an assimilation ministry in Central baptist Church. last, the project director led the sessions as team members were equipped in an assimilation ministry and recognized the need for an intentional assimilation process in Central Baptist Church. This small three-year-old church plant has seen incredible growth, approaching six hundred active worshippers coming from the entire Northwest Arkansas region. Located in a region with large university institutions, Crosspointe wanted to develop a practical and sustainable collegiate ministry to reach college-age students for Christ. This ministry project is divided into four main sections. The first section details the current spiritual crisis on America's university campuses. Through direct demographic data, this project also demonstrates that same spiritual crisis exists in Northwest Arkansas. The second section examines the effective academic process of strategic planning for organizations. The third section explores current collegiate ministry strategies which are effectively reaching college students in local church settings. The section also provides a detailed review of applicable texts which relate to crating age-group ministry strategies. The project director led a strategy team on Sunday evenings in developing an outreach strategy for the church to reach the unchurched in the community. The strategy team met once a week for eight weeks to develop and design a strategy for the church. The project director instructed the strategy team on basic strategic elements and guided the team in the developed strategy. Sonrise was planted in 2003 and is located in the western section of Mobile County. This area of Mobile is growing rapidly with a variety of homes ranging from starter homes from young families to high end custom-built homes for the more affluent. With all of this growth in the community, Sonrise is experiencing steady growth. In spite of the present growth, the project director sees a need to establish a systematic plan to maintain healthy church growth through prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. The project director will evaluate community data, do research in historical and contemporary church growth, and do research in the current organizational structure of Sonrise.
