The project accomplished its purpose when the selected men completed the training and began mentoring other men using their newly acquired mentoring skills. This Doctor of Ministiy project contained three primary components. The first component involved researching various resources in the field of biblical mentoring in order to identify essential skills. The second component of the project involved the development of curriculum. The third component of the project was the equipping phase, in which the director equipped the selected men with biblical mentoring skills. The church members also acknowledged that they lacked the skills necessary to engage Jehovah's Witnesses. The project director researched and apologetic methods. The project director will gather information from a demographic study of the towns of Jonesboro-Hodge. Interviews with local officials will also be conducted in defining the ministry context of Hope Chapel. The director will interview leaders from several churches comparable to Hope Chapel to identify effective disciple-making practices. The project director will work with a project team of six individuals from Hope Chapel to develop a disciple-making strategy. The project team will assist the project director in exploring the demographics and data in and around Jonesboro-Hodge, in identifying disciple-making models of churches with similar characteristics as Hope Chapel, and developing a disciple-making strategy for Hope Chapel. He conducted an analysis of ten years of membership data to determine trends in growth and retention, followed by research of existing new member assimilation strategies. Using this information, the project director, with input from the strategy planning team, developed a new member assimilation strategy for First Baptist Church Colbert Heights. The thesis of this project is that strategic planning competencies enable leaders to help churches become the missional agencies God desires. Identifying church core values, mission, and vision are the first steps of strategic planning and are necessary to pursue God's preferred future. The project director conducted extensive research through lending libraries and online. Research resulted in a curriculum used to equip selected church leaders. The project director completed the project by meeting three main goals: (1) reserached the fields of member assimilation and multicultural ministry in order to determine skills for a multicultural context; (2) developed a training curriculum in order to equip selected members of First Baptist Church of Central Florida with assimilation skills for a multicultural context; and (3) equipped selected mmebers of First Baptist Church of Central Florida with assimilation skills for a multicultural context. Mutiple evaluation methods and tools including observation instruments, surveys, literary reserach, expert evaluators, and ministerial reflection were used to measure the achievements of the goals. The project director conducted research in the areas of ministry evangelism, deafness, and deaf ministry. The project director selected a strategy team that assisted him in the development of the strategy. The project director researched and developed a profile of the local Deaf community, examined ministry evangelism and developed a report of best practices, created a ministry evangelism strategy, and presented the completed strategy to the pastoral staff of Central Baptist Church for approval and endorsement.  The project director engaged expert evaluation, research, surveys, observation instruments, and pre- and post-tests. A questionnaire will be given to the pastors concerning revitalization skills prior to the start of the workshop.
