The project has led to a deepened Christian spirituality and more direct involvement in the congregation as participants engage in mutual discovery. This study involved the placement process within the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida during the past five years. Thirty parishes were evaluated after placement of clergy to determine the matching process' success.  The result of the examination indicated that the process works when followed carefully and without circumvention. He believed people were asked to serve in ways which were not in keeping with their talents and spiritual gifts.  He conducted in-depth interviews with 10 persons to determine their satisfaction in congregational service.  The author then developed a Bible study which included their talents as well as the spiritual gifts topic.  After the study each person prepared a survey form which was given to the congregational gift counselor. The project was a one day workshop presented at least once on each of the local, district, and national levels of the denomination. Participants were given the opportunity to discover their spiritual gifts by use of the 'Wagner Modified Houts Questionnaire'.
