The congregation explored models of the church. They also explored their history, values, beliefs, and norms. The final stage of this project was to discern the vision of ministry that God has for the congregation; and then to develop a vision statement and begin to implement ministries from this vision statement. The project helped determine the church's mission to the community, focused the church's witness to faith in Jesus Christ amidst recent community transitions, and guided the church to be intentional about its future.
