Using resources from other authors, the author discusses: the relation between Christ and culture; how Chinese and Chinese culture are marginalized; the problems of assimilation, adaptation, and integration of the Chinese; and the Anglican Church's apathy toward multiculturalism. The author introduces his 'kaleidoscope' image as an alternative to the 'melting pot' or 'mosaic' models. The intention of this study is to develop the concept of the congregation as an evangelistic community, and to design a model of evangelism that effectively reaches out to the Chinese people of Fresno. The author explores the viability of a theology and strategy of friendship evangelism.  It is a caring way to share our faith.
