Richardson made his main contribution to the Stone-Campbell movement as co-editor of Alexander Campbell's second periodical, 'The Millennial Harbinger'. This study has sought to reclaim the lost heritage of Richardson's thought on the Holy Spirit, to find an understanding of his thought and the influences of his time, to show how his thought differed from the thought of other leaders in the Stone-Campbell Movement previous to 1906, and to attempt to update his thought with that of some recent studies on the Holy Spirit. The second part of this study consists of an editing of Richardson's twenty-four communion devotionals, Communings in the Sanctuary. The use of these edited devotionals may be expected to recenter the focus of the thoughts of worshippers on the Lord's Supper from an ordinance and memorial emphasis to one of sacrament and Christian nurture."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715820211798016,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:52:34.565Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:25:37Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:52:46Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"936a1d67-daa1-4e85-893e-397a7f7b9c6e","accessControl_ssim":["f9bf3f7a-5b61-4155-aae9-715ae0649568"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Volunteer rescue chaplaincy: a ministry with the volunteers and those served by a volunteer rescue unit"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:25:36Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:26:55Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["1aace57a-dbc3-4325-8f81-6efe63a21987"],"hasLease_ssim":["e81d1888-b9fa-43da-9106-4f53f1c2f404"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Donald P Buteyn"],"year_tesim":["1984"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Russell H Mueller"],"publisher_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Rural missions","Volunteer workers in social service","Chaplains","Crisis"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The dissertation-project was written to provide the theological, methodological and practical foundation for the implementation, by a clergyperson serving a rural church, of a crisis chaplaincy service staffed by a volunteer rescue unit in a rural Nebraska community. The research includes an overview of contemporary Christian feminism, an extensive history of Advent Christian women and their contributions to the denomination, an exegesis of selected Pauline passages concerning women in the church and the practical implications for Advent Christians today.
