Flory identified with great missionaries; her faith and intelligence, undergirded by enormous energy and drive, created so many ideas and involved so many people she was uncontainable. A conclusion was followed by an appendix which surveyed 1,000 Protestant army chaplains reference their attitude toward the army chaplaincy. The survey indicated that chaplains minister to families almost as much as their civilian counterparts. Most all chaplains felt they were meeting the spiritual needs of their community."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799717526940155904,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:19:42.229Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:16:09Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:02:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1133a997-d63b-4277-9d7b-ebced44cf821","accessControl_ssim":["028612b1-2e3f-4254-a8fe-ff0d7e96312b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Year-round funding for the mission of the church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:16:08Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:37:28Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["944bde22-fdf8-4ca9-b459-fc510bca22fa"],"hasLease_ssim":["4b10b343-10d0-4681-95f2-2b1baff2ccd5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Gustav C Nelson"],"year_tesim":["1984"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Richard H Skelley"],"publisher_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["History","Christian stewardship","Presbyterian Church","Tithes"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this paper was to discover and share effective year-round stewardship information to increase the funding for the mission of the church. The methodology of this dissertation/project includes the formulation of a theology of the sabbath, based on the study and reflection on pertinent theological, biblical and historical studies of the sabbath and its life-impinging applications. Further, special study is given to the contact that the sabbath makes with other kinds of reflection. Finally, a series of lectures was developed, presented and evaluated. This study concentrates on six broad theological sabbath themes: holy time, creation, redemption/liberation, sovereignty, equality, and rest. These themes present the grace of God in a life-impinging manner. The sabbath serves a sacramental function."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716565562687488,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:04:25.388Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:15:39Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:04:31Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2d5eb6cb-3b26-4a7f-83c0-35fe3f8f82cb","accessControl_ssim":["bfefad1e-9a34-4ea8-9a8e-34249fd33ef8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The gospel of Christ and the gospel of alcoholics anonymous: divergent paths of human liberation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:15:38Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:27:20Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c89d4c91-10fa-48f5-88f2-18e49e9ea3b0"],"hasLease_ssim":["89a75132-cb40-461d-819c-6362eeea8a05"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Tom W Boyd"],"year_tesim":["1984"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Greg Martin"],"publisher_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Alcoholics Anonymous","Experience (Religion)--Christianity","Liberation theology","Spirituality"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation is a theological study of the program of Alcoholics Anonymous told from the viewpoint of a recovered alcoholic.
