Biblical texts and images indicate that Christ's presence is the only requirement for an active and alive church. This project, which was aimed at helping members come to this understanding, was a four-part process.  These four groups of experiences were: eleven meetings with project associates that looked at the church, its context, biblical images of the church and development of a theological statement; three congregational experiences; development of a mission statement and goals; and implementation of these goals. Video recordings of faith stories in the local church were made.  This video composite was used as a springboard for encouraging participants to share their faith and begin the corporate story for the local church.  The project includes biblical and theological background for individual and corporate faith development. Ten men and women in the Dalton District of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church committed four weeks to the project.  The district superintendent was the convener, a co-participant, and provided leadership by precept and example.  Sessions included theological foundations of wellness, a medical evaluation of each participant, identification of healthy eating and exercise habits, and application of learnings to the local church and community.  All participants met at least one of their goals relating to diet and/or exercise. Recognition of one's own feelings and the feelings of others, to the extent they are important, was involved in the problem solving process.  The goal was to keep the rational processes functioning when considering alternatives in solving problems in human relationships. Consultation was collaborative in that the department directors worked together in the learning process. The course, entitled, 'Women and Jesus, Women and Paul,' is an attempt, using the historical-critical method of biblical scholarship, to trace the growth of misogynism, both biblical and societal, from its origin in Greek philosophy, to its culmination in the pastoral epistles. In the process, the example and teachings of Jesus are studied, as well as the writings of the Pauline corpus, both authentic and pseudo.  The content of the research is extensively detailed, and the method of instruction outlined and discussed. The central hypothesis is that residential mobility is a major factor affecting patterns of membership and participation in mainline Protestant churches that is neglected by theorists in evangelism and church growth. Data was secured through a community survey of the adult population of Tipp City and Monroe Township, Ohio, and in-depth interviews with a random stratified sample of that population.  The result of this sampling, defining, and reflecting upon the multi-faceted mobility of contemporary US population is strong evidence that residential mobility has a major impact upon the growth pattern of mainline Protestant
