The study used an integrated approach, combining archival and survey methods. Five theoogical issues are explored as they inform partnership. They are the Trinity, the purpose of God (missio Dei), the body of Christ, the gifts of the Spirit, and the church -- both local and universal. A survey was used to have attendees of the CAR Consultation reflect on these theological issues in the context of partnership. Unfortunately, very little has been done to develop discipleship materials uniquely for Native people. This project presents a new spiritual formation process designed specifically for the students at the Indian Bible College in Flagstaff, Arizona. The author researched spiritual formation theory and Native American culture and Christianity. The rationale given from Scripture is that believers who receive comfort from God should pass that comfort on to others. Library research, personal interviews and life experiences give practical ways in which, by counseling and careful follow-up, comfort may be brought to the dying and to those in mourning.  Research revealed that funeral plans are best made in advance, eliminating unnecessary, hidden expenses and avoidance of emotional trauma. A statement of biblical Christian belief is given after each statement of Hindu belief.  This project was accomplished by first writing a summary based on a literature review.  The summary was then discussed with two educated lay Hindus and one Hindu spiritual leader. Suggestions and criticisms were used to redraft the summary.
