The author used a qualitative research method for gathering data. Personal interviews from pastors faced with this dilemma, plus questionnaires and interviews from his family, churches and communities, where he pastored with his disabled wife, played a significant role in his research. As well, an archival research into the effects and challenges facing caregivers and their families added to his insights. This study shows seven dimensions of Christian missions in correspondence with a sevenfold mission of Christ. Findings revealed that a general structure of the lived experience emerged consisting of four theme clusters with fifteen invariant constituents: (1) the field leaders' role, (2) the field leaders' personal lives, (3) the field leaders' context, and (4) the essence of being a field leader. Their parents seem unaware of this fact, possibly because they share this quality. This study seeks to discover ways to initiate steps for intentional spiritual formation for families in small churches. By conducting a qualitative study of the self-reported beliefs and behavior concerning personal responsibility for child spiritual formation among specific parents in his church and in six additional churches, the author discovered a disconnect between their behavior and beliefs. This metamorphology of CBC graduates helped to identify and describe the dimensions of transformation experienced, and served as a critical assessment of Canby Bible College's institutional effectivenes in 'equipping laborers for the harvest.' A three-part questionnaire served as the primary means of instrumentation and utilized both quantitative and qualitative methods of
