The author created a focus group of parents of children with a disability, articulating the spirituality that can arise in this group. Though not without limitations, results confirm that online retreat preaching is a powerful method for deepening participants' spiritual lives when done with attention to quality. The author researched the needs through training sessions, surveys, focus groups, and interviews with four experts. The result is the Ministry of Hope and Consolation Funeral Vigil Formation Program that includes a presenter guide, a participant booklet, discernment surveys, and a six-session video-assisted resource. To that end the project produces a handbook for preaching preparation and employs focus groups and an experiential survey to test the effectiveness of this homiletic method.
