Local churches should be more intentional and effective in their approach to baptismal instruction.  This project involved the development of a program of baptismal instruction, including the development of a baptismal policy by the local church session, the preparation of printed materials and a seminar for parents as well as a sermon series on baptism for the congregation.  The major conclusion reached is that the model of a group seminar can be effective as a teaching device as well as a tool for assimilating people into the congregation.
