The particular context of this study was General Association of General Baptists.  The participants were given a researcher-designed questionnaire.  The findings of this study demonstrated a positive relationship between church health and church growth. The method was quasi-experimental, utilizing pretesting and posttesting of a test group and a control group.  The former met for nine months during 1987.  It addressed learning how to plan and how people minister and lead in relation to their personality type and spiritual gifts. The project affirmed the value of studying personality type and spiritual gifts. The context of the study is a Free Methodist Church in western Pennsylvania.  The project is built around the case study method which currently is used at Asbury Theological Seminary to evaluate professional action and encourage critical thinking.  The important factors which contribute to trust building are familiarity, compatibility, self-disclosure and leadership styles.
