A total of 180 surveys were completed by evangelical chaplains (working chaplains, professors, CPE supervisors, and denominational directors).  Out of 180 participants, 136 completed all aspects of the survey.  The survey focused on practical theology or what chaplains believe and do.  Therefore, the results accurately portray the practice of evangelical chaplains working in the field of chaplaincy. The project included the administration of a survey to all appointed pastors-in-charge in the NCC. The degree of increase in the area of spirituality within the group was measured by two assessment surveys -- a pre-project survey and a post-project survey. The project culminated with the submission of art projects created by the participants through assistance of spiritual disciplines. The most prominent finding was that participants recognized the God moments in their lives. The content of this impact study was Dallas Willard's The divine conspiracy video series. Goals were measured by Likert scale pre- and post-tests. Participants came to understand the intended path for Christ followers to be an active apprenticeship to Jesus. Disciples, as practitioners, keep ongoing company with Jesus, in order to become like him in their inner person. The results indicated that there was such a relationship.  In other words, more spiritual maturity meant a more positive coping with the challenges of aging.  Spiritual maturity was determined by measuring a set of spiritual attitudes and spiritual practices. The process focused on developing the spiritual discipline of listening in scripture, prayer, and community in aligning the leadership's core values, vision and mission. The leadership team participated in individual and group processes designed to transform listening. As a result, participants reported an increased sensitivity to God's self-communication through deeper listening in scripture and prayer.
