The context of the project was a three week clinical course in hospital ministry based on the pastoral counseling theories of Adams, Hiltner, and Clinebell and Carl Rogers' ideas.  The results from the project revealed a bell-shaped pattern of change. This project report defines whole person medicine and traces biblical and historical precedents for the church's involvement in such an approach to health care.  Research material is drawn from interviews with 31 physicians and from personal experiences in dealing with cancer.  Material is included for a four-week seminar titled: 'Your faith and your health'.  Five sermons are also included.
