The project was designed for twenty sessions conducted over a ten-week period for thirty children from Dublin Elementary School.  The project includes the training of the church program council to conduct the sessions, preliminary studies conducted for the entire church, the session outline, and evaluations from parents, leaders, and children. At the heart of the project is a pilot program that consists of twelve afternoons over a six-week period.  Sessions include games, crafts, and other activities beneficial to children.  Both community resource persons and church members join in a ministry to the latchkey child.  The pilot program is a model for small congregations interested in outreach ministry. The project accomplished this task through a six-week course on worship for kindergarten/first grade children and their parents, children's bulletins, two sermons, a pew pamphlet, and a baptism renewal/baptism service.  The report establishes the need along with the theological rationale for including children in worship.
