The study involved eight learning sessions that identified the strengths which members had for a ministry of care. Individuals were trained to creatively use skills of caregiving to members and to the mission community of Bethany Christian Church in time of need.  The project also provided ways for participants who were unable to attend the sessions to become involved in caregiving. This project was an effort to structure such a dialogue within the context of a sound doctrine of ministry.  A theology of ministry was developed and shared in a series of sermons and children's messages.  Dialogues were held to discuss the implications.  The congregation was surveyed before and after the sermon-dialogue series to detect any changes of attitude.
