The research of the author and the responses of the group indicate that not only is there an absence of preaching about death from the pulpit today, but the people in the pews desire words of hope in a world which denies death. For a problem that is so prevalent, the church has been slow to minister to people who are experiencing the crisis of separation and divorce, especially from the pulpit.
