Three objectives, working with longer-term clients for in-depth reconstruction, shorter-term clients for the speed of their completion, and clients having affairs for recommitment to their marriages, were met.  Clinical data was evaluated to interpret the clients' maturation. Typologies offer a structured way to analyze a congregation's identity.  Historical research and survey instruments create a way to evalute a congregation's identity. Workshops on past, present, and future, along with group discussions, develop a congregation's identity. The results of the study show that congregations can create an accepted body of knowledge about themselves. The first idea, theocracy, was George Fox's intent when he developed the Friends decision-making process. The second idea, multigenerational emotional process, comes from Bowen's systems theory.  These ideas are blended into a theory of multigenerational spiritual/emotional process designed to help a meeting identify its destructive forces and helpful resources.  A Friends meeting was taught a course related to the above ideas and partially applied them for six months.
