This thesis incorporates theoretical concepts from pastoral care, cultural anthropology and theological conclusions from psalms of communal lament to more adequately describe these processes. A review of literature and the development of a theological rationale was undertaken to determine the effects of divorce on children and how some support groups have been utilized.  The model developed by Rainbows for All God's Children, Inc. was implemented and evaluated.
