The experimental method of this focus is to use small group discipleship as a catalyst--relationally investing in a concentrated few toward diffusion among the many. A trail of diffusion--how small-scale changes in attitudes can multiply. (Carl Gustav), 1875-1961","Social groups","Small groups"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project proposes that a small group process using Carl Jung's theory of individuation and the story of Jesus' baptism as a metaphor for individuation helps middle-aged adults expand their personal and spiritual awareness and thus mature in life and faith. The research method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) in an eight-week, small group process. All adults were able to identify personal growth as a result of the experience. They suggest that the practice of communal Bible study may be the key to re-forming the witness of local congregations. This project applies a missional hermeneutic, through the use of particular study questions, to the practice of communal Bible study in a local congregation. Discoveries made by participants are consistent with a 'missional church' understanding.
