Mission-minded, global Christians? Information for this research was gathered from students at Atlanta Christian College who participated on short-term mission trips. They were surveyed to determine how the trips influenced them. The research demonstrates that students who had already considered career missionary service found additional encouragement to pursue mission ministry. This project assumes that the mission of the church is to witness God's love to people in ways that are appropriate to their stage and condition of life.  The research for this study uses the grounded theory method of research.  Sixty students on campuses near Charlotte, North Carolina were interviewed.  Conclusions from the research include specific suggestions for people who minister to students during the college years. The author interviewed twenty college students, and he examined the written material of major theorists in the psychological and spiritual fields including Erik Erikson, Daniel Levinson, Carol Gilligan, Henri Nouwen, Brother Lawrence of the Resurrection, and Sharon Parks.  The result of this research was that there are three major issues for the college-aged young adult: identity, intimacy, and forming a dream.
