The author has designed and implemented a training sequence for ministry teams with the purpose of improving productivity and cohesiveness. Data was gathered using the 'Teamwork Survey', a forced-choice instrument administered to participants prior to and after participation in training, as well as personal interviews. The study involved a thirteen-week adult Sunday school class, investigating thirteen Spiritual Disciplines in addition to the dangers involved in the teaching and practice of spiritual disciplines when disregarding the role of grace in these disciplines. This study asked what are the barriers to effective Hispanic ministry, what have been the most helpful strategies, and what are the universal ministry factors that help reach people of all races and cultures?  The design of this study was an interview format within a qualitative research style.  Eleven pastors were interviewed from across the state of California, who had demonstrated success in reaching out to the Hispanic community. Kirk of the Hills, a PCA church in St. Louis, Missouri, is currently using the model for pastoral care as proposed for large churches.  Questionnaires were completed by those in leadership and by active church members to determine the degree of effectiveness of pastoral care. The project has shown that a Christian pastor can follow a course of action, which will result in the reduction of this relative insignificance.  The reduction is shown through comparing surveys administered before and after a program of emphasis on the Lord's Supper. A case study for this project was from those completing a new members' course at the Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN.  Data was collected by way of survey with questions pertaining to the biblical aspects of community, purpose, and structure. Specifically, it is believed emerging leaders who participate in a leadership course focusing on character development will express a higher degree of willingness to enter into leadership. Twenty-five adults participated in a course entitled, ' Character Formation in Spiritual Leaders', a study focused on God's role in shaping the character of His people.
