This study sought to develop and test a model to train church planters in Eastern Europe.  This model was built around the multiplication mechanism found in 2 Timothy 2:2. A biblical study of church planting was done to establish a basis for the model and provide materials for teaching a church planting course. The hypothesis states that an effective Christian leader maximizes his strengths, minimizes his weaknesses, and develops in Christlike character in order to attract others to accomplish a common vision.  To validate the hypothesis, two leaders were chosen who pastor visibly successful churches.  Through the use of questionnaire, the Personal Profiles System (Performax), on-site observation, and church documentation, the case study ascertained whether the senior pastors were operating from a strength-based methodology.  Questions focusing on the five areas of the hypothesis were asked of the senior pastor, two staff members, two board members, the pastor's spouse, and twenty-five members of the congregation chosen at random. The three-step strategy takes a chronological approach to the task of local church evangelism. The Singapore situation has shown that committed women motivate through modeling biblically and equipping a selected few in the context of a small group or living together.  Mature disciples trained in ministry apartments have been reproducing, thus augmenting the local churches. Disciple-making programs provide opportunities for the exercise of God-given abilities and enhance international networking. Corinthians I","Preaching--Study and teaching"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This research project uses a strategy for increasing spiritual growth in the believers at River Cities Community Church, Huntington, WV.  A long-term sermon plan was developed and implemented using the book of 1 Corinthians.  An instrument was developed and used to pretest and posttest in order to measure the effectiveness of the program.  Focus groups were utilized to complement the quantitative data.  The analysis of the posttest and data from the focus groups show a measurable change toward growth in some areas of Scriptural beliefs, attitudes, values, and behavior.
