The project is theologically grounded on the church as body of Christ and people of God and continuing Christ's ministry as diakonia. Using input about their personal issues, the role of God, and faith development, from both current adolescents at Crossroad and the staff who work with them, the project identifies the most pressing issues for these young people.  The discussion series addresses the concerns with residents who chose to attend.  The effectiveness of the project is measured by pre- and post-interviews with participating adolescents; by an ongoing diary of conversations; and by feedback from the residents and staff at Crossroad. Through semi-structured interviews, respondents reported less overt homophobia in AAPC than heterosexism. Data obtained suggests the presence of the negative effects of heterosexism on collegial relationships, pastoral counselor training, and the membership process.  Overt homophobia was experienced within local agencies affiliated with AAPC and in the institutional church. Projects selected for support and interpreted included camp scholarships, foreign missionaries, and a truck stop ministry. Presentations were made on planned giving, and an endowment policy was adopted.  These changes were supported by a study of the offering for the Jerusalem church, motivations for giving, and four key theological concepts: God as owner, image of God, partnership, and connectedness.  Evaluations by questionnaire and telephone survey showed people increased mission support and gave to endowment. This project sought present attitudes on this problem through 213 pastor and 313 layperson questionnaires sent to churches within the Cape Cod Council, and random samples of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ and Hyannis Federated Church.  Seminars were held for the respondents. The project utilizes qualitative methodology as three clergy women survivors of domestic violence are interviewed and complete written questionnaires.  The results indicate that the relationship with God, which the woman experiences during the time of the abuse, is harsh and judgmental. Moving beyond the abuse, her God-image, the relationship with God, and her sense of self is transformed. The informants were selected on the basis of their commitment and level of participation in the center.  This qualitative research encompassed a semistructured interview guide.  Five clients and five counselors were interviewed to determine the effectiveness of using womanist theology in the development of a pastoral counseling center.  The conclusion indicates that it is useful to use womanist theology in the development of a pastoral counseling center. To address this need, 12 adults in Daebang Methodist Church were trained in the understanding and practice of Christian contemplation.  The project was grounded in a study of the biblical, theological, historical, and psychological approaches to spiritual theology and Christian contemplation, in comparison with the practice of contemplation in other religions in Korea. Changes in the understanding and practice of contemplation through the 26-session training course, which were measured by a written pre/post questionnaire, took place in the areas of faith development, value of life, and experience of sanctification. It was based on an approach to confirmation as a process of identity formation. The project concluded with a 'mission worship' led by the youth in which samulnori and other aspects of Korean culture were introduced into the confirmation service. Evaluation consisted of written statements by the youth at a concluding retreat of parents and church members after the worship, which expressed very positive responses to the
