Based on stated theologies of wholeness, prayer, and spiritual direction, it was hypothesized that involvement in this process would enable persons to move toward wholeness.  The project design included a prayer workbook used by participants and instruments used by the author and clergy evaluators in making observations of participant responses. Christian maturation is defined as growth toward having a Spirit-filled character as described in the New Testament.  A six month course was taught in six churches and involved thirty-four people.  Pre- and post-course psychological testing instruments were used as well as questionnaires at the end of the course.  The comparison of the testing instruments' data shows a significant growth toward Christian maturity as defined by the author.
