The vehicle for the evaluation was a case method study used in peer group settings.  Assessment of change was primarily via use of the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire as per a pre-test evaluation of levels regarding self-esteem. Subject categories used were: 1) intelligence; 2) ego-strength; 3) self-acceptance; and 4) social image concern.  For a public the size of the test groups, a mean change of 75 percent was deemed necessary to be significant. This change was achieved in regard to three of the four evaluation factors, and was slightly under forty-five percent on the fourth. The subjects of the study were nine sisters who participated in intensive interviews, 45 sisters who responded to an anonymous questionnaire distributed to a random sample of one hundred, and one sister who was in therapy for nearly one year.  The findings provide information about the barriers Catholic women religious face in their ministry toward women who have had an abortion.  Attention is given to some of the areas of conflict that may widen the gap between the service which Catholic women religious feel mandated to provide and the actual care received by women who have had an abortion. Men and women of various ages, occupations, and educational levels were interviewed. They said they wanted to hear the Bible preached and taught as the infallible word of God.  They claimed to now have a heart relationship with the Lord they didn't have before. They found a caring attitude, a warm and loving support community of faith they had not experienced.  They objected to the social-activist position of mainline churches. To uncover these factors twenty-eight 'main-line' Protestant church members were interviewed, each having been a member of a rural or small town church at the time of divorce.  The interviews revealed specific factors that caused some divorcing people to leave the church and other factors that enabled some to remain active. Research included an examination of the wholistic concept, its biblical and theological bases, and its historical development.  Models of wholism are included in the project along with learning experiences of the participating pastors and physician. A content analysis process was applied to stressful event descriptions submitted by clergy. Based on factor analysis of the reported frequencies of occurrence and relative effects of events, a list of 44 events named the Pennsylvania Life Events Scale for Clergy, or PLESC, was composed. Little support was found to relate receptivity to religious beliefs, motivation, or involvement, except for attendance patterns and for respondents who have women pastors. Effects of racism and sexism education differ significantly. Parents and all members of the faith community are vital in young children's faith development processes.  The faith community must be intentional in providing programs equipping and supporting the above in environments where young children can experience and hear about the faith. Secular organizational and human relations theories such as group development, open systems, negotiation and management styles are adaptable and useful in parish leadership.  Each of four cases, researched according to the Case Method Institute, was taught and critiqued at least twice to test relevance and learning effectiveness.  The writing and test teaching of the cases and theory resources were effective in teaching the dynamics of parish conflict and demonstrated the significance and relevance of behavioral and ethical theories to the managerial task in parish conflict. The mutual influence of spiritual and psychosocial growth was illustrated by means of the case material within the limits of the case study methodology.
