Pre- and post-seminary questionnaires were used to measure increases in conceptual understanding as a result of the seminar.  T-tests were applied.  A post-seminar questionnaire was used to measure perceived commitment increase.  These questionnaires were also evaluated to calculate percentage increases in self-awareness and perceived behavioral changes.  Didactic educational method was shown to enable both conceptual and attitudinal change in a statistically significant way. The paper looks at the denomination's congregational and presbyterial roots and its present structure in which regions have responsibility for authorizing ordinations.  The paper surveys and analyzes current practices of the 36 regions and makes recommendations to enhance the role of congregations in the process. The study also gives a model for baptismal preparation.  The method of study is a survey sent to two groups, adults who were baptized when junior youth and pastors and teachers in the KS-NE conference. The results show that the expectations differ between the two groups with respect to peer influence, personal conviction, and religious behavior. Using historical research, the author discovered the 'gentle persuasion' concept of Moravian evangelism from the eighteenth century.  The author reported his findings in an evangelism guide for congregations called 'The Moravian Way of Evangelism.'  The guide was field-tested in ten congregations. A questionnaire was designed to gather information regarding the pastors' experiences and needs in their counseling ministry.  A learning design was created to address those needs.  Twenty pastors enrolled in the fourteen, three-hour training sessions.  The pastors' positive response and evaluation indicated a need for such training. The preacher conducts a retrospective assessment utilizing cassette tape recordings of sermons along with a detailed, in-depth questionnaire.  The strategy is comprehensive, divided into three major components: design, implementation procedure, and model for processing the data.  It is illustrated by application to four representative sermons, with extensive data gathered from 211 respondents. A manual was developed showing the relationship between success in attracting people into fellowship with a congregation and some forms of nonverbal communication, such as nonverbal messages and nonspeech messages.  The manual was subjected to evaluation by the Commission on Evangelism and Renewal for the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina and revised according to their recommendations. The research focused on how ten patients responded to the process of a chaplain obtaining a spiritual life review, and then compared their physical, cognitive, and affective responses to twenty patients in two control groups.  All thirty patients' responses were measured at the beginning and the conclusion of the study.
