The first half deals with the theoretical aspects.  Biblical foundations for administration and leadership management are explored. Using scriptures as the guide and TLBC as a test case, the author traces the development of TLBC in its 17-year history.  He analyses the present organizational structure of the church and proposes refined departmental guidelines, human resource policies, and meeting agendas and processes. The methods used in this research are from the perspectives of biblical theology, systematic theology, historical theology, sociology, futurology, statistics, and practical theology. There are two parts of this research. The first part is the foundation of world missions and its development, including four chapters: The Bible and World Missions; The Church and World Mission; Church History and World Missions; Era and World Missions. The second part is the investigation of world missions and its implementation in the Chinese churches, including two chapters: A Survey for Mission Ministries of the Chinese Churches; and, Implementation of Mission Ministries of the Chinese Churches. Based on the theological foundation of church planting provided by the Bible and the background of Chinese immigrants in the Greater Vancouver region, the purpose of this research is to explore the principles and methods of church planting  I  the Greater Vancouver region. Chapter one discusses the biblical basis of church planting, including God's plan for salvation, the mission of Jesus Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit. Chapter two explores the different facets of church planting. Chapter three introduces the history, background, and social aspects of Chinese immigration in the Greater Vancouver region. Chapter four investigates the process of church planting for three representative churches. Chapter five uses the Evangelical Formosan Church of Greater Vancouver as an example of church planting to analyze the present situation and future direction of church planting in the Greater Vancouver region. Chapter six deals with the actual process of church planting. Chapter seven analyzes the distribution of Chinese churches from the statistical data of the Chinese population in the Greater Vancouver region. The thesis has two parts. The first part has two chapters. It begins with the study of characters of the Bible, which points to a holistic view of man. Next is the study of sin, which is split into the guilt of sin and the shamefulness of sin. This sinfulness will cause people to live in bondage, oppression, and blindness. The second part of the thesis has three chapters, covering Jesus' ministry on earth. It first analyzes how he proclaims freedom for the prisoners, recovers sight foe the blind, and releases the oppressed. Then, this is paralleled to the situation which modern man lives in. Next, it discusses how the pastoral staff brings people to the goal of holistic redemption. Finally, it recommends that when the pastoral staff is leading believers, they should establish a people-oriented shepherding team-ministry that provides an environment for holistic redemption. It also recommends that they should establish the structure of a believer's life with small group ministries and with worship ministries. In order to gain wisdom from the Bible, one needs to fully comprehend the meanings of the Word. using the type of analysis that rearranges syntactical Greek and examines the Chinese and English language structures helps achieve this goal. This type of analysis yields syntactical display, which shows not only the threads of thought in the Scriptures, but also the outline of expository preaching. The author examines the biblical teachings and female characters in the scriptures to establish the theology that God intended women to be full and equal partners to their male counterparts. A case study was conducted on Evangelical Formosan Church with its 34 local churches in North America. The finding reveals that great disparity exists between ideology and reality. The former proclaims equality and the latter succumbs to the patriarchal tradition. The female gender must climb a long and uphill path before attaining their God-given stature.
