Of particular interest is the issue of integrity and power of Christian worship with the problem of identifying unwanted influences in its ritual on the one hand and the problem of language obsolescence on the other. The study presents multi-disciplinary research intended to improve one's ability to constructively critique both worship and one's personal role in it. This paper focuses on the image of God and the experiences of power presented in the worship service in liturgy and preaching, as they impact the lives of the participants.  To do this one must provide alternative images of power, to widen one's comprehension of God.  the study uses surveys and discussion groups to evaluate the results.
