It is based on the thesis that married Army recruits contend with both personal and marital stress as they enter military service.  The Army chaplain may minister to such needs through programs such as this.  The project methodology evaluates the problems of the recruit, especially the impact of the military on his marital relationship. The paper describes the one day workshop and the welcoming dinner.  Resource materials are listed and project results discussed. Workshop materials were predicated on theological, psychological and communication principles.  Couples, attending workshops in four churches, prepared communication goals on a graded scale to achieve in three months. Sixteen of twenty-one couples returned the scales to me.  I processed and interpreted the results. Indigenization is proposed as a viable redevelopment strategy.  It seeks to condition congregational life to cultural contexts in the application of principles of self-government, self-propagation and self-support. Assumptions drawn from historical data, interviews and studies of existing congregations were tested on a research model, Detroit Presbytery's redevelopment to two defunct congregations, resulting in the launching of Trinity Community Presbyterian Church. This study identified a course of action for offering marriage enrichment to ministry couples.  A couples group was added to a Clinical Pastoral Education unit, an established course of study required by seminaries.  The method was a case study completed with six couples with pre and post testing.  While testing showed slight changes in the marriages, self report included many comments towards marital growth and management of ministry issues. The researcher used observation, a journal and interviews. The majority of families indicated that they perceived their role as educators in the area of faith formation. Through the use of an ethnographic sketch, the author shows how one church transitioned from a Sunday School model resembling traditional schooling to a model that understands Christian education as a process of formation.  The author introduces a teaching manual that draws upon the 'Workshop Rotation Model' for Sunday School.
