The project provides a picture of ALS so those who offer pastoral care and counseling will be better equipped to understand the effects of an ALS diagnosis. Using the phenomenological research method allowed the ALS patient and caregiver to share the experience of ALS. The author found four themes; control and choices, faith, family diagnosis, doing versus dying. This study explored intentional clergy self-care based on the researcher's PMS model of prayer, meditation and support. Using qualitative research, a face-to-face six-week study with a clergy peer group and a secondary study using an online questionnaire were conducted.  The results showed that pastors experience greater stress in ministry than those in other ministry positions. Specific questions sought to ascertain the influence of Micah 6:8 in one's personal faith, civic understanding, and personal relationships. The purpose of the project is to explore how scripture passages become integrated into the life of persons beyond their involvement in a particular organizational context; in other words, how scriptural passages move from theory to practical application in everyday living. However, members remember being 'the church' in the aftermath of the April 1974 tornado when they served their community face to face. In this project, the author explored if meeting a mission recipient face to face, hearing their story, and photographing them would enable members to see the image of God in someone who is very different from them. The frequency and range of church kitchen use was studied by surveys and interviews of 29 churches across 10 denominations. Kitchen operations, food preparation, kitchen utility, and the connections between the kitchen and the pulpit were studied. The author of this project researched the various reasons why these young families are or are not involved in the life of a congregation. By interviewing them directly, compiling the information, and looking for patterns, he then offers advice for church leaders. Using H. Richard Niebuhr's Christ and Culture as a guide, he created his own paradigm 'Culture and Christ' by inversing the patterns and starting with Culture. Utilizing an evaluative research design, a one day workshop was offered to 12 lay persons and pastors. The workshop progressed from personal to pastoral to legal boundaries. Data analysis employed the spiral steps of qualitative research authored by Leedy and Ormord (2005).
