Casual conversation among the members shares new episodes of that story, while their everyday lives provide the material for each episode.  In small congregations and parishes of less than one hundred weekly worshippers, the intimately conversational nature of the sharing of the congregational story among the faithful membership has shaped the preaching into a form that is also conversational and faithful to the form of story.  It is conversational, in that it is one offering in an ongoing exchange on matters of faith; and it is faithful, in that it pays closest attention to the form and content of the biblical story of which the Church in general and this parish in particular are continuing parts. The preacher is sometimes invited to converse with the congregation. Using the work of Friedman, self differentiation, self limitation, relatively non-anxious presence, and emotional triangles in preaching are explored.  The result is a sermon in which the preacher attempts not to be involved in the relationship between hearers and the biblical text in a manner that honors the wisdom of the hearers and the movement of the Spirit in the text."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133654820323328,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:22:43.853Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:27:03Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:15:53Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"002c44e7-4076-456b-a7bd-ec6155e974eb","accessControl_ssim":["a0cc29ee-84e2-43c3-88a1-e40dd335dd9a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Predikan--prästens eller gemenskapens erfarenhet av God och livet? Authority is traditionally understood as legitimated power. Authority like other forms of power can be corrupted.  Authority as domination needs to be examined in the preaching situation also.  The preachers' authority is a crucial problem in contemporary society and therefore new understandings of authority emerge.  The authors' questions are: how can the preacher share the experience of God and life with the community through preaching?   With different groups in the community can the preacher be an authority, but not the only one?  Authority in diversity and partnership is a challenge for preaching in the future."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133228973686784,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:15:57.734Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Bruce A Kuenzel","hits":1,"label":"Bruce A Kuenzel"},{"value":"Carina Elisabeth Sundberg","hits":1,"label":"Carina Elisabeth Sundberg"},{"value":"Christina A Schenning","hits":1,"label":"Christina A Schenning"},{"value":"David Michael Wendel","hits":1,"label":"David Michael Wendel"},{"value":"Lukas L Bouman","hits":1,"label":"Lukas L Bouman"},{"value":"Michael James Wollman","hits":1,"label":"Michael James Wollman"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Expository preaching","hits":5,"label":"Expository preaching"},{"value":"Preaching","hits":3,"label":"Preaching"},{"value":"Interpersonal relations","hits":2,"label":"Interpersonal relations"},{"value":"Authority--Religious aspects","hits":1,"label":"Authority--Religious aspects"},{"value":"Big churches","hits":1,"label":"Big churches"},{"value":"Clergy","hits":1,"label":"Clergy"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":8,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago","hits":8,"label":"Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":8,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"2001","hits":8,"label":"2001"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago","hits":8,"label":"Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago","hits":8,"label":"Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":8,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":8,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
