Theological and biblical foundations based on the spirituality of Ignatius of Loyola in the context of his Spiritual exercises will be prioritized with complementary reading from the classic spiritual texts of three selected mystics: Hildegard of Bingen, Bernard of Clairvaux, and Julian of Norwich. The goal of this project has been to articulate the role of the liturgy as ethos in the formation of liturgical, pastoral and parochial ministry.  The first three chapters bear upon the dynamic of the imminence of the Kingdom of God in the preaching of Jesus and its appearances in the structure of the Lord's Supper.
