The five instruments used were: Responsibilities of the Church Survey, Core Values Audit I, Sermons on Christian service, focus group discussions, and the Wagner-Houts Spiritual Gifts Questionnaire. The booklet was tested over a five-month period ending with a threefold evaluation.  The project calls for leaders to model Christ for the mentorees.  The report discusses mentoring as exemplified in scripture, and summarizes the difficulties, benefits and lessons learned from the project.  It concludes that mentoring can be done in Cameroon if pastors are appropriately equipped and encouraged. I hypothesized that participants in the perinatal loss support group would report a reduction in emotional and/or physical symptoms related to their grief.  My research included a review of the literature and interviews with parents who had experienced perinatal loss.  The basis for evaluation of goal achievement was the use of symptom self-reports, observation, and post-project interviews.  As a group, there was an overall reduction of 24% in reported symptom severity between the time of first self-report and the second self-report. This mentoring model of supervised ministry incorporates increased instruction of both supervisors and students, encouraging guidance within the relationship that gives direction with freedom. In comparison to previous models the guidance and instruction provided in mentoring prove helpful to participant satisfaction.
