The theological rationale proposed for appropriateness of interreligious dialogue is based on God's continual dialogue with humanity.  The universal biblical motives in the Bible correspond theologically with a dialogical approach because the Bible is the story of God's on-going dialogue in the history of mankind, the story of God's mighty deeds from the beginning of the creation.  An affirmation of the practicum affirmed interreligious dialogue as having a distinctive place in the ministry of the church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127170899247104,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:39:40.303Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:32:43Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"337dd7d1-1d38-45b0-bad3-8ad55ffe57e0","accessControl_ssim":["944527a4-47ee-4b57-a566-9d5165504742"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Dialogue as a means of reconciliation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:37:40Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7751ea83-cae8-4ff5-b3da-31b7a515f5e3"],"hasLease_ssim":["99389157-860e-43e2-be16-ae8eddcd9b7d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Susanne Johnson"],"year_tesim":["1987"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Glenn A Noblin"],"keyword_tesim":["Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Dialogue","Judaism","Fowler, James W","Groome, Thomas H","Christianity","Theology","United Methodist Church","Interfaith relations"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project demonstrates that interreligious dialogue is an appropriate and viable ministry of the local church.  Dialogue is appropriate because the basic theme of the Bible is God's passion for reconciliation and dialogue is a means of reconciliation.  Dialogue is viable because, in terms of James Fowler's stages of faith, even people who have not developed beyond the second stage are capable of responding to dialogue in a limited way.  A report on a dialogue between members of a Uniited Methodist church and a Jewish congregation shows that an adaptation of Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach to religious education is effective for people in various stages of faith who are in a dialogue situation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126736980672512,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:32:46.487Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"C K Mathew","hits":1,"label":"C K Mathew"},{"value":"Emanuel Das","hits":1,"label":"Emanuel Das"},{"value":"Glenn A Noblin","hits":1,"label":"Glenn A Noblin"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Practice (Theology)","hits":1,"label":"Practice (Theology)"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Dialogue","hits":3,"label":"Dialogue"},{"value":"Theology","hits":3,"label":"Theology"},{"value":"Christianity","hits":1,"label":"Christianity"},{"value":"Christianity and other religions","hits":1,"label":"Christianity and other religions"},{"value":"Fowler, James W","hits":1,"label":"Fowler, James W"},{"value":"Groome, Thomas H","hits":1,"label":"Groome, Thomas H"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University","hits":3,"label":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1987","hits":1,"label":"1987"},{"value":"1989","hits":1,"label":"1989"},{"value":"1990","hits":1,"label":"1990"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":3,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":3,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
