Spiritual tensions arise in personal and community contexts when faithful Christian stewardship is not practiced. This Doctor of Ministry Project researched the underlying biblical and historical sources of Orthodox offering practices.  Members of three Orthodox Christian mission parishes were engaged in a dialog, to probe existing beliefs and practices of financial offering and the explore the Orthodox vision of stewardship. The spritual growth and teaching-learning experience, conducted in retreat setting, resulted in changes in values and life styles. The writer conducted personal interviews with fifteen church members from five different congregations of the Presbyterian Church, USA, and their senior or solo pastors.  Selected churches were of various sizes and demographic situations.
