This study involved the placement process within the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida during the past five years. Thirty parishes were evaluated after placement of clergy to determine the matching process' success.  The result of the examination indicated that the process works when followed carefully and without circumvention. The paper posits that changes in the understanding of ordination led to changes in expectation, hence conflict around the pastor.  A survey instrument was developed, sent to 91 persons, and 35 responded.
