A survey questionnaire addressing the issue of pastoral presence was administered personally to 101 randomly chosen ministers of the Western Pennsylvania United Methodist Conference. Twenty-two of this group were given further opportunity of an oral response in an open interview. Positive and negative trait patterns were identified by these pastors. The conclusion of this writer is that these trait patterns may be more 'ideal or preferred' rather than realistic."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127019430346752,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:37:15.852Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:36:45Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:37:44Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6de3e747-828d-4788-bedc-e80be0172045","accessControl_ssim":["3e29f5bf-87de-476f-82f3-4d7119d35b1c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Toward spirtuality: a journey"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:36:44Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:20:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ae0b25b8-6232-4c15-b974-e546c66259b6"],"hasLease_ssim":["1d2b78eb-f031-4b24-969c-9740665731f7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Neil Paylor"],"year_tesim":["1985"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Harry Lawrence Banks"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Emotions Anonymous International","Spirituality","Psychology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this paper is to describe the spirituality found in the fellowship of Emotions Anonymous in the Anchorage, Alaska, area. It is intended to facilitate: 1. the identification and affirmation of personal values and strengths, and 2. the development of one particular resource which will inform intentional church planting. The study reviews both Jungian typology, upon which the MBTI is based, and the instrument itself. Application of type awareness is related to the preparation, presentation, and evaluation of sermons. The result was the implementation of a manual of operations for the church and the development of a positive image for the congregation.
