The writer has developed the sermons of Criswell and Vines as a model so that preachers of Korean churches can preach correct kingdom hope from the pulpit and that from the preaching, believers will not be deceived by the erroneous eschatology of cults and be led to have biblical hope in heaven. Chapter 1 introduces the contemporary Filipino small group, its problems, the proposed solution, and the anticipated results. Chapter 2 investigates relevant literature. Chapter 3 introduces the first century church, investigates and interprets the context of the Greco-Roman house churches, and integrates the concept of the New Testament house churches with their Greco-Roman context and the content of their practices. Chapter 4 introduces the concepts of the twenty-first century church and small group, investigates and interprets Filipino small groups, and integrates the content of New Testament church practices with contemporary small group theology. Chapter 5 presents the results on the New Testament house churches and their implications for Filipino small groups.
