The criteria for the selection was based on their suitability for teaching community values and relationships to young children.  The key moral values taught were love, kindness, caring, friendship, and sharing.  The five biblical stories were used as a center of interest when developing character and teaching values to the three to five-year-old preschoolers. Character education is easier to espouse in the abstract than to provide in the concrete.  So in writing the storytelling curriculum for character development, which I feel was successful, I tried to be as concrete as possible. This project is in direct response to these Biblical challenges.  The purpose of this project is to mobilize and train Christians with professional skills at the First Baptist Church of McKinney to use their own background as a tool in servant evangelism.  The project participants will participate in a five-week seminar in which the project leader will present Sjogren's concept of servant evangelism.  Servant evangelism is best understood when Christians perform deeds of love with words of love in adequate time with no strings attached. The project leader will also help participants find a way to connect his or her professional skills with the concepts of servant evangelism, and instruct them in the way to teach a one-day workshop in their area of expertise. The goal of the project is to bring balance to a discipline of extremes while objectively equipping the participants for spiritual warfare and preparing them for possible, if not probable, involvement in 'the battle'.  The members in the church where the project leader serves as pastor, have frequently stated that they are aware of the spiritual battle all around them, but they do not understand the various elements of the warfare, the weapons delineated in Eph 6, or their involvement in spiritual warfare.  Therefore, the project leader will focus on the way that the believer prepares his or her heart for spiritual warfare, where spiritual warfare began, the spiritual weapons that are used to engage the enemy, and the place of angels in spiritual warfare, among other things. The plan puts in place an on-going strategy to accomplish the task of assimilation. The project will seek to develop awareness for pastors in order that they can minister cross-culturally in a more effective way.   Developing this strategy will involve all the Fellowship Directors who represent the ethnic groups and geographical regions in the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association, and selected pastors of the local churches in the same association.  Each individual, along with the project leader, will have specific responsibilities to accomplish in a five phase plan.  Phase one will establish the priorities of the plan.  Phase two will consist of presenting the strategy for implementation in the local churches. Phase three will consist of presenting the strategy for implementation in the local churches.  Phase four will involve reporting the ministry experience according to the given principles (strategy).  Phase five will involve reporting the ministry experience according to the association.  The process will be reviewed in order to enhance the ministry in the association for the present stage of ministry and for the years to come in dealing with cross-cultural ministry in the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association.   The project was successfully completed.
