The hypothesis of the research project was that if a church offers a biblically balanced and sound course of training for its parents who have preadolescent children, there will be an observable increase in the self-esteem scores of the children whose parents undergo training.  The author conducted pre-test and post-test measurements of the self-esteem of preadolescednts whose parents were trained.  He compared these scores with the scores of a control group whose parents received no training. It develops a couples' prayer workshop as an intervention tool to promote marital prayer, and evaluates the results through pre- and post-tests of the experimental and control groups.  The results reveal a slight but definite correlation between conjoint prayer and marital adjustment.  No significant difference is found in a comparison of either the practice of conjoint prayer or for marital adjustment.  Further research could focus on collecting data on the correlation of conjoint prayer and marital adjustment and on developing an improved methodology for the enhancement of long-term Formosan Church was based on the Bible and on current Christian marriage enrichment literature.  Emphasis and application of truth were laid on seven basic areas of marital needs: purpose, five parables of Christ, self-image, communication, trust, sexuality and spirituality.  Fourteen persons attended the workshop for thirteen weeks.  A pre-test and a post-test were carefully coded. Participants reported their marriages were enriched.  The data showed areas which were not affected and where other courses could be developed.
