This project studied the participation in and satisfaction with The Moody Church for the various racial groups in congregation. Based upon the biblical foundation for racially diverse local churches, the goal of the project was to increase the involvement of racial minorities throughout the life of the church--including membership, service, and leadership. The research design included a congregational survey, focus group meetings, and the responses of church leadership. Consultations with professors and church leaders both in India and in the US, the proposal, ethnography, and the reporting spanned twenty-six months. Twenty constituents including the youth who left, youth currently attending, parents, and pastors were interviewed along with questionnaires. The findings reveal that the youth left because these congregations have been lacking active ministries. The focus of this project is to understand the theological rationale for unity among diversity within the church and to give principles of how a church can transition into a church for all people.
