To gain a wide spectrum of opinion concerning these priorities, I have collected the input and expositional comments of thirty-six well-known evangelical expositors and scholars. This paper first develops a theology of petitionary prayer, especially the significance of praying according to the will of God. This theology of petitionary prayer is then applied to the ministry of preaching, using Paul's letters to Timothy as foundational teaching concerning the will of God in relation to preaching. An argument is made for the connection between cultivating one's worldview and the ability to interact with those in the postmodern world. Careful study is made of the characteristics of postmodernism, along with a survey of about two dozen Campus Crusade staff in Germany--measuring their present effectiveness in evangelism. A three-day conference introduced the staff to this worldview. The author hopes that this project will help churches equip fathers to teach their sons the principles of Proverbs at the beginning of their teen years. The project includes sociological data concerning fatherhood, a theological base of fatherhood, an extended exegetical outline of Proverbs 1-9, and a narration of a ten-week course that fathers and their sons could take together with other father/son units. The project was concerned about program objectives, design and results. The project examined theological, theoretical and cultural background studies useful to the appraisal. The project presented the history of the Home Bible Seminary in Thailand. A questionnaire was used to gain the students' perspective on the program. The study included recommendations on how to improve the program. This paper examines the biblical and theological foundation of 'pastoral care,' then traces the development of the pastoral care worker system developed at First Christian Reformed Church in London, Ontario. The writer interviewed a random sampling of both pastoral care workers and members of the congregation to determine to what degree the pastoral care given and received was accepted. A 'Training Manual for Pastoral Care Workers' was developed and is included in the paper. The study determines that the pastoral care system developed at First Christian reformed Church in London respects the traditional understanding of the Office of Elder as accepted in reformed churches, but expands the options for ministry by involving others who have spiritual gifts for pastoral care ministry. The writer used a specific strategy of introducing innovations that helped the congregation accept this non-traditional pastoral care delivery system.
