Stagnation and the lack of growth were problematic. If spiritual formation of the individual and church community could put back what was missing in the lives of broken individuals in the church community, then this could have an impact on church growth. The researcher collected qualitative data through a spiritual assessment profile, surveys, interviews, and spiritual discipline training. Data results suggested positive changes in pastoral and participants attitudes. The project consisted of a focus group of thirteen pastors participating in a workshop forum. A quantitative research design was used with pre and post-tests. Historically, the worship experience has been the backbone of spiritual formation.  The project sought to enhance that experience to aid in spiritual developemnt. The methodology used was a workshop, worship services, questionnaires, a sermon, and surveys. To evaluate the project, the author used focus groups and written evaluations. The context of this study is Trinity United Church of Christ, a sub-urban, predominantly European-American congregation located on the north side of Columbus, Ohio, which desires to grow.  The methodology used to achieve this goal is an intervention, composed of four interwoven facets, designed as a unit to remove barriers that prevent church growth.  The findings of this project confirm that church growth becomes probable through this intervention.
