The researcher implemented a diversity workshop, cultural heritage awareness night and focus group. A questionnaire was used to develop qualitative data to evaluate the project. The final product was a 'compendium of connectivity' which identified how current members may see new members as empowered, connected, or disconnected. The congregation is now more inclusive."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129368840372224,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:14:36.423Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:43:35Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:52:54Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3861f879-50d9-431c-8fbb-5b914a12c924","accessControl_ssim":["2936add6-7e7c-4d72-8543-f983c13afea8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Empowering grieving children with spiritual tools in their journey toward healing and recovery"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:43:34Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:45:59Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["335b93fb-e361-4288-b9ff-f9c6cb957a35"],"hasLease_ssim":["7e76d148-f3d8-486d-b3df-855c080a3dbf"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Howard Anderson","James E Farrer"],"year_tesim":["2005"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Gloria Wade Dillon"],"keyword_tesim":["Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Grief","Children--Religious life","Church work with children","Pastoral counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The specific problem being investigated was how to engaged children in grief counseling after they had experienced the death of a parent or guardian. The project placed a particular emphasis upon the youth. The context was Grace Reformed Church, Brooklyn, New York. A youth worship service and a vacation Bible school were developed to provide experience and education in God awareness and self-awareness in God. Context associates and senior youth were trained and taught by the researcher in order to develop leaders in the subject area. For six weeks, classroom sessions were held twice a week and the youth conducted the youth worship service on Sundays. The action research model and case study analysis revealed that this intervention improved the general behavior of the youth and indicated a greater commitment to the church of God by young people and adults."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129935588360192,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:23:36.917Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:43:06Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:06:51Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"84dbcda5-2917-45f7-ad8d-3bf5592b7d60","accessControl_ssim":["04602d49-1260-46a9-8a63-248f97f9103b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A theo-social model of intercultural awareness training for adult educators"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:43:06Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:03:00Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["89aa995c-4cd8-48cb-b09a-809cfef1f4bc"],"hasLease_ssim":["6410a28c-d5f3-4065-8890-96a8f8153a56"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert C Walker","Linda E Thomas"],"year_tesim":["2005"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["James Roland Bailey"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Race relations","Christian education of adults","Byron, Gay L","Race awareness","Cleage, Albert B"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The objective was to engage adult educators in reflection about pertinent literature about race and racism, like Symbolic Blackness and Ethnic Differences in Early Christian Literature by Gay L.
