Research methodology consisted of quantitative and qualitative measures used sequentially to study existing and post-intervention Christian character levels. Through focus on self-awareness and gift-awareness, statistically significant change occurred. The project involved a series of workshops that taught people a variety of spiritual exercises and the biblical/theological foundations for spiritual gifts; provided definitions for the gifts of the Spirit listed in Scripture; and, discussed the implications of gifts discovery in the life of the congregation.  The workshop participants answered pre-workshop and post-workshop questionnaires which were analyzed according to the contributions of psychological type theory. Six notes of spiritual discipline are sounded and investigated by fifteen project associates.
