The members were administered the survey and the interview as a pre-test and post-test. Between the surveys and the interviews, the sermons and the workshops were given as an intervention and as a treatment. They all showed improvement. The small group model includes both a didactic and a creative writing component. The adolescents, in addition to being very expressive about sexuality, gained understanding about the Bible and about sexuality. The context of this ministry model is a private school at Gravel Run Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, VA. Students were the same age, grade level, culture, and received similar courses of study. Student and parent interviews were also done to obtain deeper insight. The context of the ministry model was an inner-city church in the mid-Atlantic region. The method used a one-group pretest-posttest instruction design that was evaluated through questionnaires, in-process evaluations compose of open- and closed-ended questions, and attendance measurements. A seven-hour course was taught and two meetings of the graduates were conducted. The comparison of the post-test responses to the pre-test responses along with the post group interview showed a significant amount of comprehension and willingness to carry out economic empowerment ministry. The purpose was to persuade congregants that prayer for community transformation and rediscovery of the art of social holiness was crucial. The preacher taught a five-week study entitled Acts 29: Fifty Days to Invite the Holy Spirit. A control group received no treatment. Measurement instruments were questionnaires, a focus group, and individual interviews. The response was positive. Participants of a regular Bible study joined in a curriculum of a ten-week study of the Beatitudes and the entire congregation received a sermon on 'Understanding the ethics of Jesus.' Positive results in terms of the willingness of some members to practice the ethics of the Beatitudes were evident before the entire Bible study had been completed. Eight African American women attended two health workshops and studied daily with the Fruit of the Spirit devotional guide over a three-week period.  The participants complete pre- and post-workshop questionnaires to determine any changes in their health and spiritual views after completing the program. The knowledge of medical and spiritual health of the women increased after the program. The programs were designed to create a sense of understanding, compassion and desire to reach out to victims. This qualitative study used pre- and post-survey data, community events, workshops and designed worship services to increase the awareness of the virus.
