The course, entitled, 'Women and Jesus, Women and Paul,' is an attempt, using the historical-critical method of biblical scholarship, to trace the growth of misogynism, both biblical and societal, from its origin in Greek philosophy, to its culmination in the pastoral epistles. In the process, the example and teachings of Jesus are studied, as well as the writings of the Pauline corpus, both authentic and pseudo.  The content of the research is extensively detailed, and the method of instruction outlined and discussed. The central hypothesis is that residential mobility is a major factor affecting patterns of membership and participation in mainline Protestant churches that is neglected by theorists in evangelism and church growth. Data was secured through a community survey of the adult population of Tipp City and Monroe Township, Ohio, and in-depth interviews with a random stratified sample of that population. The resulting play needs further development before it is ready for publication, but the learning experience of the lay people was considerable.  Their enthusiasm, new knowledge, and personal growth were great. The validity of the Emmaus program is evaluated through the use of two primary survey instruments. A group of project associates and I designed a ten lesson course in worship, 'The Wings of Worship.'  It was taught in the church school for ten weeks and in the informal setting of a home for four weeks. Methodology entailed determination of project thrust and project associates; preparation and study of appropriate humorous stories; and the sharing of these stories as a goal-oriented process. The results of a survey and evaluations revealed the religious needs and indicated an interest in continuing P.A.M.
